Soundcraft has been appointed by Higgins Construction for the supply and installation of Hybrid Series 3 Curtain Walling with Tilt & Turn Windows and SD Aluminium Doors for Olga Primary school in East London.
To satisfy the growing needs of the local community, a new larger school has been designed for up to 720 pupils and will open its doors early 2017.
This project is valued at over £280K and will be another good example of the type of work Soundcraft can handle, with the fabrication and the installation of composite curtain wall and associated windows and doors.
Senior Hybrid Series 3 Curtain Walling is a blend of Aluminium on the exterior for durability and low maintenance (with a 25 year guarantee on the paint finish), and PEFC engineered timber on the interior for a natural look and feel.
The Tilt & Turn Windows are from the Hybrid Series 1 Range, which have been designed to meet current and future building regulations, with impressive U values and thermal performance.
The SD Aluminium Door can be manufactured in single, double and emergency door types. It utilises low thresholds and a variety of options such as radius anti-finger trap stiles, and has been satisfactorily tested to PAS24.
The work will start in early June 2016.
