Soundcraft has secured a substantial project at Oaklands House, the first-phase regeneration site for development of the Old Oak Common area, by Genesis Housing with Queens Park Rangers and Vistry Partnerships.

Cited as one of the UK’s biggest regeneration projects, construction work at Oaklands signals the start of planned land transformation south of the Grand Union Canal in London, and a five-month schedule for Soundcraft to deliver thermally-efficient, high-performance aluminium systems for commercial and residential buildings.

The £175 million mixed-use Oaklands development will provide more than 600 new homes together with 3,500m2 of commercial space, bringing much-needed housing and economic opportunities to the area.

“This is the first major new project undertaken by Soundcraft after the COVID-19 lockdown,” said Michael Bishop, Soundcraft’s Commercial Manager. “It includes many intricate design aspects and we are utilising multiple designers and structural engineers to ensure an exceptionally high standard. Soundcraft is working closely with Vistry Partnerships to complete this extensive project to a tight programme.”

Comprising of three blocks, two residential-commercial combined and one residential only, the Soundcraft team will manufacture and install high-level products including: SF52 Curtain Walling, Zone Spout Drained and Mullion Drained; Aluminium Integrity doors; Integrated Canopies and Integrated Solar Shading to curtain walling, together with Senior Architectural Systems SPW600 swing doors and SPW500 thermally broken commercial doors.
