Specialising in manufacturing and installing composite (alu-clad) Hybrid curtain walling, plus associated windows and doors, Soundcraft has completed another demanding school project, at the Lady Eleanor Holles School in Teddington, Middlesex.
Working with specialist social housing contractor, Higgins Construction, Soundcraft fitted many areas of curtain walling, including areas over 7 metres high, along with alu-clad windows from the Hybrid Range, and aluminium doors. The curtain walling required several bespoke engineered beams, manufactured in PEFC certified softwood.
Of particular note was the architect’s requirement for frameless sashes. Working with Hybrid system designer, SAS, Soundcraft was able to satisfy the architect’s needs without compromising either the composite window performance or the construction programme, despite complex design changes.
