After the success of Phase 1 of the fire door upgrade works on the Abbey Wing of St Peters Hospital, Soundcraft was pleased to return for Phase 2.
The existing fire door sets date back to 1974 and required upgrade in line with Health Technical Memorandum (HTM58), DH Health Building Notes and, of course, building regulations.
In addition to providing FD30S or FD60S performance, the fire doors have to be third party certified under the BM Trada Fire Door Manufacturing Scheme, and the installation also has to be third party certified under the Exova BM Trada Fire Door Installers Scheme.
The doors are due to be replaced during night works to minimise disruption on occupied wards.
