Continuing our strong track record of successful local authority projects, Soundcraft has completed the design, manufacture and installation of high-performance doors, windows and curtain walling at Robert May’s Secondary School in Hampshire.
Working with Morgan Sindall Construction on the school expansion project for Hampshire County Council, Soundcraft was appointed to provide bespoke products for durable high-volume use, with design excellence that would complement the school’s heritage. Working with our supply chain partner Senior Architectural Systems (SAS), Soundcraft’s complete glazing package for Robert May’s School features Hybrid frameless casement windows and Hybrid curtain walling, alongside SD aluminium commercial doors.
Andrew Cooper, National Specification Manager for SAS, said: “We were involved with the Hampshire County Council Property Services, though pre-construction services offered by Morgan Sindall Construction, from an early stage in the project. We specified our hybrid system as this provided the performance and aesthetics required by the Architect, with the warmth and appearance of the timber internally, coupled with the durability of the polyester powder coated aluminium externally. We were delighted to work with Soundcraft, and to see another great example of their expertise in the fabrication and installation of our systems, again being demonstrated on this great looking project.”
The two-storey extension is now home to five brand-new classrooms and a library, together with a new main office and reception area, all designed to meet the school’s growing intake of pupils.
