Advanced aluminium systems for Oaklands regeneration programme

Appointed by Vistry Partnerships, Soundcraft undertook the manufacture and installation of thermally advanced aluminium systems at the £175 million mixed-use Oaklands land transformation project in South London.

The vast scope of work for commercial and residential buildings included: SF52 curtain walling, zone spout drained and mullion drained; aluminium integrity doors; integrated canopies and integrated solar shading to curtain walls; SPW600 swing doors and SPW500 thermally broken commercial doors.

Production on the project also incorporated specialist design aspects, such as negative facet concave for curtain walling. With the screen set at a concave angle changing the sequence of installation, it required Soundcraft design expertise working in conjunction with a structural engineer to ensure the practicality of the installation and provide the best design solution for an impressive visual result while maintaining a warrantied product with approval by Senior Architectural Systems.

Soundcraft achieved outstanding levels of precision on the project cited as one of the UK’s biggest regeneration programmes.

Following the successful completion within a tight five-month construction schedule, Soundcraft was named London winner of the Vistry Partnerships Health and Safety Supply Chain Champion Awards and went on to win another accolade for work at Plot 18 on the estate development for continuous excellent awareness and commitment demonstrated toward Health and Safety.
