Soundcraft were appointed by Vistry Group, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, to undertake works on behalf of developer LGIM Real Assets (Legal & General) to deliver 480 mixed tenure homes on a former Homebase site in South London. Throughout the project Soundcraft delivered design intelligence, manufacturing precision and expert installation to provide thermally efficient windows, doors and curtain walling for the vast development ‘New Acres’ located in Wandsworth, London SW11.
Not only does this prominent project signify the company’s largest contract to date, incorporating Soundcraft’s specialist manufacture of more than 2,000 high-performance products, but it also marks the achievement of outstanding delivery at every stage within a meticulously planned nine-month timeframe.
Covering six acres, the urban regeneration scheme is hailed as a flagship Build-to-Rent development in the UK, creating 480 high-quality new homes constructed over five residential buildings varying from 9 to 16 storeys. Skilled Soundcraft teams successfully completed work across every high-rise tower block, concurrently.

Designed by executive architect, Hawkins Brown, and managed throughout the construction stage by 3D Reid architects, the New Acres development will also generate more than 15,000 sq ft of mixed-use space for office, shops, cafes and restaurants, together with public open spaces for community use, new landscaping and a civic square outside Wandsworth Town station’s proposed new entrance.
