The board at Soundcraft is delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Bishop as the company’s new Managing Director.
Soundcraft starts a strong new year with exciting changes to its company structure that will shape business strategies for 2025 and beyond.
Commercial Director Michael Bishop, whose successful career at Soundcraft began in 2006, will now lead day-to-day operations as Managing Director, with Lee Gordon at the helm in a pivotal leadership position as Director.
This future-thinking move to galvanise the next generation of directors sees Founder and Chairman Kevin Smith and Managing Director Robert Thomson step aside from their frontline senior roles, while still remaining fully invested and focussed on key aspects of the business.
Announcing the succession plan, Chairman Kevin Smith said: “The appointment of both Micheal and Lee to directorship roles in October 2020 was the start of a significant new era for Soundcraft. This progression in 2025 reflects their vision, drive and dedication to the outstanding results since achieved in propelling and positioning Soundcraft for an exciting new future.

Already established as proven experts in their field, both Michael and Lee hold an impressive track record of Soundcraft success with a collective 45-years at the company. Having successfully steered the company as Managing Director since 2012, Rob Thomson has been central to Soundcraft’s success for more than forty years, leading projects, establishing expert teams, and building a reputation for excellence. Rob will of course remain integral to the business and continue actively on the Board of Directors.
