Huge congratulations to our dynamic Contracts Manager Will Jones, who this month took on The Bastion Full Iron Distance Triathlon in an epic challenge to raise funds for charity.
The endurance event, which started out at Hever Castle in Kent and is regarded as one of the toughest around, saw Will successfully complete the gruelling 140.6-mile course – pushing through a 2.4-mile open water swim and 112-mile bike, followed by a phenomenal 26.2-mile run.
His mission is to help a family close to his heart whose child has been diagnosed with ALCL, anaplastic large cell lymphoma, an aggressive form of Lymphoma Cancer. Will said of his endeavour: “Training was very tough at times, especially during last year’s lockdown, but however hard I found the training, it always paled into insignificance when I reminded myself of why I signed up to this, helping raise money for the charity has always been front of mind.”
